Luke Kinoti is a finance specialist, entrepreneur and businessman in East Africa with interests in private equity, real estate, microfinance, hospitality, publishing, aggregate mining and manufacturing.
Luke has had an illustrious career at the helm of Fusion Capital Limited, a company he co-founded with Dr. Phil Goodwin, a UK based investor in 2006. The company’s initial focus was the provision of off-market debt and equity financial solutions, to growing SMEs in the vibrant East African region.
Luke steered the growth of Fusion into Private Equity, Real Estate, Insurance and Fund Management with total investments over Kshs. 5 billion. Luke also has a long track record of developing communities through provision of community based sustainable financial services and social transformation projects, as a co-founder and director of Riziki Kenya, a charity specializing in Community Development. This followed his distinguished career in the microfinance and SME sector in Kenya, having worked for various companies promoting this sector including Africa Medical and Research Foundation (AMREF) as a Small Enterprise Specialist; the Ecumenical Church Loan Fund (ECLOF-Kenya) as the Country Director and the National Council of Churches of Kenya (NCCK) as a Programme Director.
Luke graduate from the University of Nairobi in 1984 with a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree. He is a member of the Institute of Directors, Chairman of REMU Microfinance Bank Limited, Chairman BOM of Karaene Day Mixed Secondary School in Meru, in addition to being a director of Fusion Capital Limited, Fusion Investment Management Limited, Suntra Investment Bank Limited, Xtra Publishing Limited, and several special purpose and join venture companies.
